WET Films
Inspired by the mentoring system that supported the work of Steven Spielberg, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorcese, Brian DePalma, George Lucas and Robert DeNiro, WET will select 3-5 screenplays from any genre, written by women, and match each script and writer with a team of women “mentors” – established film directors, producers, and actors to provide feedback, support and help shepherd the script and writer towards production opportunities. WET will work with each writer to develop the screenplay, providing notes, work sessions, casting, readings (public and private) & move scripts from development to production. WET FILMS will launch in 2010, and is run by WET’s Director of Film Development, Jordana Mollick (LA) and Sasha Eden, Executive Producer and Creative Director (NY).
